The Central Penn Business Journal, in partnership with The Foundation for Enhancing Communities and the York County and Lancaster County Community Foundations, presented the 2016 Nonprofit Innovation Awards on Feb. 26. The York County recipients are:
Brand identity/unique marketing campaign: York County Heritage Trust, finalist.
Collaboration: Dreamwrights Youth & Family Theatre, runner-up ($1,000), and ForSight Vision and New Hope Ministries, both finalists.
Programs: Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg, York, runner-up ($1,000) , and York Jewish Community Center, finalist.
Nonprofit leadership excellence: John W. Lloyd, president and CEO of MANTEC, and the Rev. Glen Miller, vice president of external relations at SpiriTrust Lutheran, both finalists.
Stambaugh Ness, P.C. CPAs/Business & Technology Advisors, has announced that Lynn Knepp, former CFO at Gannett Fleming, has joined its advisory team.
Sara Burley has joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty as a Realtor, specializing in residential sales throughout Shrewsbury and Delta.
The York County Heritage Trust has announced the appointment of Rachel Warner, collections manager, to the PA Cultural Response Team, part of the Pennsylvania Cultural Resilience Network. Team members will receive intensive training on emergency response and recovery resources, health and safety, and best practices for response to an emergency involving a cultural institution. The volunteers will be deployed as needed to regional instutions.
KBG Injury Law attorney Craig Milsten participated as a panelist in Leadership York’s March 1 seminar, “Twelve Principles of Governance that Power Exceptional Boards.” Milsten, who served as president of the York Jewish Community Center’s Board of Directors, spoke about strategic and mission-driven thinking as it related to the JCC’s capital campaign and construction project.
