The Friends of Wallace-Cross Mill’s upcoming covered-dish social will feature a talk by a well-known Adams County mill owner, 6 p.m. Friday, March 18, at the Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 13059 Cross Roads Ave.

Adrian Shank, owner of Gingell-Shank’s Mill in Carroll Valleys, will present a program on the history and restoration of his historic mill, which started out in Frederick County, Md., but was cut in half between the states with the establishment of the Mason-Dixon Line.

The public is invited and admission is free.
