The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is collecting items for its annual June fabric sale.

Acceptable items are portable and cabinet-style sewing machines; fabric bolts, yardage, quilting packs and kits; thread, needles, thimbles and other notions; yarn; cross stitch, needlepoint and craft items; beads; patterns; craft books; finished quilt tops; plastic craft containers; stamps; art supplies; and all types of craft items.

Donations may be dropped off until May at:

The Salvation Army, 50 E. King St., 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. weekdays. Call for large-item pickup: 848-2364.

The Recycled Reader, 1212 E. Market St., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Large items, such as sewing machine cabinets, will not be accepted. Information: 848-4676.
