David Kim, concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra, will join the York Symphony Orchestra as a violin soloist during the classical series performance, “Beethoven in Buenos Aires,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center.

Beethoven’s heartfelt ode to a day in the country will collide with the sounds of the tango in the emotionally-charged performance.

It will conclude with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 “Pastorale,” which will take the audience on a journey through the European countryside. Real-time visual program notes will serve as a guide.

Tickets, which start at $9 for adults and $5 for students, are available at www.yorksymphony.org and by calling 846-1111.
