The YWCA York will offer lifeguard training for youth and adults ages 15 and older, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 21, 28 and March 6 and 13.

Participants must be able to successfully complete a swimming skills test prior to the first session. The classes will teach how to prevent and respond to non-surf aquatic emergencies, with certification in first aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

The basic cost is $150, plus $32 for the book and $13 for the CPR face mask.
