The Rotary Club of York has announced the availability of approximately $20,000 in grants for York County 501(c)3 organizations which have a specific program or project that directly impacts underprivileged, abused, neglected or handicapped children and youth.

The area of focus is “basic needs” and the club is looking for creative and innovative applications in that area.

Program grants will be awarded in the $2,000-$10,000 range, with special consideration for larger grants of up to $15,000. It will not offset general overhead expenses, salaries or capital fund drives.

The deadline to apply is Feb. 28.

An application form is available at www.yorkrotary.org or contact Bert Oberdick, the club's executive coordinator, at 848-1370 or bert@yorkrotary.org.
