The Belmont Theatre begins its 2018-19 season with "West Side Story," Sept. 14-23 at the theater, 27 S. Belmont St. The story of love between members of two warring urban gangs follows the plot of "Romeo and Juliet" and adds in music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim to create one of the greatest musicals of all time. The York Fair is drawing to a close, but you still have this weekend to check out all the rides, exhibits and fried food at the York Expo Center. Gates open at 11 a.m. Friday through Sunday, Sept. 14-16. Admission: $8 adults, $4 children 6-18 and college students with ID, children 5 and under free. There are different admission and rides specials each day. Parking $7. Check yorkfair.org for daily schedules of activities and entertainment.

There's one grandstand concert left: Country stars Old Dominion and special guest Walker Hayes perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the grandstand. Tickets: $34-$49.

Chart-topping singer and songwriter John Ondrasik will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Strand Theatre in the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St. Ondrasik goes by Five for Fighting, and his music spans from "Superman (It's Not Easy)" to "Chances" and "What If" and has been featured in 350 films, television shows and ads. Celebrate York's most famous export with York Bike Week, Sept. 19-23, in conjunction with the Harley-Davidson York Vehicle Assembly Plant Open House. The free open house runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Springettsbury Township plant, with demo rides and tours. The 24th Annual Bike Night, organized by York City and sponsored by Harley-Davidson, runs 3-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, around Continental Square, with a parade at 4:30 p.m. from the York Expo Center, vendors, food and music. See a story of adventure and romance told through dance and light as iLuminate comes to the stage at the Pullo Center. The show mixes high-tech effects with original music and hip-hop, Latin, contemporary and break dancing, all performed in the dark with customized wireless programs. Showtime: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the center, on the campus of Penn State York. Tickets: $25-$42. Information: pullocenter.york.psu.edu.
