Politics becomes farce as "The Sensuous Senator" comes to the Hanover Little Theatre, July 13-22. Sen. Harry Douglas finds himself trapped in his house with his wife, his girlfriend, a lady of the evening, two colleagues and a nosy reporter, weeks before a presidential election. The York County Astronomical Society offers a public starwatch, 8-10 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the observatory at John Rudy County Park. Members will guide a tour of the summer sky, including stars, planets, nebulae and the moon. Star charts are available. Free. Information: www.ycas.org.

Springettsbury Township's free Sounds of Summer Concert Series offers concerts each Sunday and Wednesday through Aug. 5 in the amphitheater at the township park, 1501 Mount Zion Road. Food trucks will be on site with a variety of foods and drinks. On Sunday, July 15, The Fabulous Hubcaps will play classic rock. The Kiwanis Lake Summer Movie Series runs through Aug. 15, with a free family-friendly movie shown at 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday on the screen by York City's Kiwanis Lake.
