It's First Friday, and that means lots of events beginning at 5 p.m. around downtown York. For First Friday July, July 6, some of the highlights are: live entertainment at Continental Square, plus games and food; "Finding Dory," 6:30 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 50 N. George St.; "The Dreamer's Journey," a spoken and visual representation of the immigrant journey, 5 p.m. at the Goodridge Freedom Center, 123 E. Philadelphia St.; First Friday Latino July, with salsa instruction and live music at the York County Economic Alliance, 144 Roosevelt Ave. Information: www.downtownyorkpa.com/firstfridays.

Springettsbury Township's free Sounds of Summer Concert Series offers concerts each Sunday and Wednesday through Aug. 5 in the amphitheater at the township park, 1501 Mount Zion Road. Food trucks will be on site with a variety of foods and drinks. On Sunday, July 8, 7 Bridges will bring the sounds of The Eagles to the stage. The Kiwanis Lake Summer Movie Series runs June 20-Aug. 15, with a free family-friendly movie shown at 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday on the screen by York City's Kiwanis Lake.
