What's happening this weekend in York
The 26th annual Fairie Festival runs Friday through Sunday, May 4-6, at Spoutwood Farm, 4255 Pierceville Road, Codorus Township. This is the final year for the festival, which brings thousands of people to the farm to celebrate all things fairy with music, dance, performances, art, food, fairy and gnome village tours, drum circles and more. Times: noon-6 p.m. Friday, Children's Day, with free entry for children 12 and under; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission: $20 adults, $5 children Saturday and Sunday. Leg Up Farm hosts the second annual Farm en Blanc, 5-9 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the farm, 4880 N. Sherman St., Mount Wolf. The evening will feature foods prepared by local chefs and music by The Bottom Feeders, with proceeds benefiting Leg Up Farm and Able-Services. Guests are requested to wear mostly white. Take a journey with the York Symphony Orchestra as it presents Back in the USSR at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in the Strand Theatre at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N.
