TAFE (Theatre Arts for Everyone) presents "Cinderella: A Musical," April 6-8 at the York Learning Center, 300 N. Seventh Ave., North York. York residents Diane Crews and Jacquie Sutton adapted the classic fairy tale 16 years ago, bringing a unique look at the lives of Cinderella, her stepmother, the prince and more. The York Symphony Orchestra will present April in Paris at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in the Strand Theatre at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St. Guest conductor  Kelly Corcoran will lead the orchestra and vocalist Mandy Barnett in some French-inspired favorites made famous by the likes of Cole Porter, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. A pair of young lovers run away together, causing a local search party to go after them in the 2012 Wes Anderson film "Moonrise Kingdom," which will be shown at 4 p.m and 7 p.m.  Saturday, April 7, in the Capitol Theatre at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. York College's Division of Theatre presents "The Woman in Black," April 12-14 at the Perko Black Box Theatre. York College's Groove Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at DeMeester Recital Hall in the Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall. The percussion ensemble adds guitars, basses and more to traditional percussion and performs traditional music from around the world. Free.
