Where can you see Oscar nominees in York County

Gayle Eubank
York Dispatch

For movie buffs in York County, the Academy Award nominations can be bittersweet.

Sweet because it's fun to see what Hollywood considers its best work of the year.

Bitter because, often, so many of those films have never made it to movie theaters in York County.

This year is much the same. Many of the nominees for Best Picture were shown in York, but some for only a week or two. Strangely, some, such as "Lady Bird," were here last week, before the nominations were announced on Tuesday, Jan. 23, but aren't here this weekend.
