Fagin, the Artful Dodger and Oliver Twist come to stage as The Belmont Theatre presents the classic musical "Oliver!" Nov. 17-26 at the theater, 27 S. Belmont St. From "Food, Glorious Food" to "I'll Do Anything," the production brings all the songs from the Tony Award winner to life. Showtimes: 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday. Grammy Award winner Ronnie Milsap takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Pullo Center, 1031 Edgecomb Ave., York. Schooled in classical piano but with a heart belonging to country and rhythm and blues, he's entertained country music fans for decades and had scores of No. 1 hits. Tickets: $40-49. Relive the magic of the King of Pop with Invincible: A Glorious Tribute to Michael Jackson, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Strand Theatre, Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. Grammy Award winner Kathy Mattea and her longtime collaborator, guitarist Bill Cooley, will present The Acoustic Living Room, Songs and Stories with Kathy Mattea at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, in the Capitol Theatre at the Strand Theatre, Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. The York Chamber Players will perform a concert of chamber music for four-hand piano and four voice, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at DeMeester Recital Hall at York College. The free concert features Brahms' “Neue Liebesliederwalzer” and Stephen Hough's “Other Love Songs," both of which use the combination of two people playing one piano along with four vocalists.
Are you ready to get in the holiday spirit? Check out the 33rd Annual Christmastime in Loganville from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Churches, schools, businesses and community groups throughout the Loganville area open their doors with food, crafts, gift ideas and more. While you're there, make someone's holiday a little merrier by giving to the Marines Toys for Tots drive or the canned food drive. Santa will be at Brown's Orchards and Farm Market 10 a.m.-3 p.m. to visit with the kids. There also will be samples throughout the market.
A dancer and crooner compete for the affections of a beautiful rising star on the big screen in "Holiday Inn" at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Capitol Theatre at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. The York Junior Symphony Orchestra presents its fall concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 at Dallastown Area Intermediate School, 94 Beck Road. There will be a preconcert performance by the YJSO String Octet in the lobby at 2:15 p.m. Tickets: $14 for adults and $9 for children and seniors.
