Downtown York is ready once again for First Friday. This month's event theme is Endless Summer, and there are plenty of stops and events to choose from.

First Friday, organized by Downtown Inc, runs 5-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, throughout the downtown York area. The program is sponsored by WellSpan Health.

Some highlights for this month:

WellSpan will offer teddy bear checkups and back-to-school tips on Beaver Street.

Watch "The Muppet Movie," free, 7 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre, 50 N. George St.

Weary Arts Group celebrates the opening of their mini-theatrical space at Creative York West, 118 W. Phialdelphia St.

Royal Square is having a summer block party, with food trucks, water balloons, DJ Shawn Beck, tie-dyeing, chalk art and the York Water Co. mobile splash pad.

Watch "Cornerstone," a documentary on a Ugandan school for children who have lost their parents to HIV, at Gusa by Victoria, 252 W. Philadelphia St.

Plus music, beer and wine tastings and First Friday specials at restaurants and merchants throughout York City.
