The first Friday in 2017 is Flashback Friday in downtown York, with activities throughout the downtown area 5-10 p.m. Some highlights:

Creative York, 10 N. Beaver St., celebrates Art in Industry with a new exhibit, refreshments and an activity, Industrial Printmaking.

At Rudy Collective, 25 E. Philadelphia St., see a demonstration of the repair and renewal process for leaded stained-glass windows from St. Mary's Church on South George Street.

See the 1968 classic film "The Love Bug" at 7 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre, 50 N. George St. Tickets: $7.

Try out Flashback Karaoke with AKBeatz at Studio 117, 117 S. Duke St. Contestants will choose a song from the '80s, '90s or '00s, and the contestant with the best performance from each era wins a prize.

New Grounds Roasting Co., 284 W. Market St., also offers Flashback Friday Karaoke, with songs from the '60s through the '90s and open mic performances.

Plus, stores throughout the area will offer special deals and beer tastings through the evening.
