The Holiday Market will be back in the Royal Square District on Saturday, giving shoppers a chance to pick up some unique and not-so-last-minute gifts and crafts.

More than 40 vendors from across Pennsylvania and Maryland — with some from as far as Ohio and New England — will set up stands in The Bond, 134 E. King St., including local vendors SpookyCutes, The Mad Knitter Shop, Molly’s Follies, Kneedles & Leaves Knitwear and LuLaRoe by Janelle Jones.

The second annual Holiday Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with clothing, handmade jewelry, cosmetics, home goods and more on sale.

With so many unique vendors, there is something for everyone at the Holiday Market, said Stacy McClain, programs director for the Parliament Arts Organization.

Area food trucks, including Gourmand and the Lancaster Burger Co., will be parked outside offering food and drinks, while The Beer Ace will be providing “free liquid holiday cheer,” according to a news release.

The event will also feature an area to make crafts and wreaths, with a soundtrack of holiday music and caroling, according to the release.

The first Holiday Market was so successful in 2015 that it was never a question whether the group would host another one this year, with organizers “blown away with the response,” McClain said.

“Last year, we had a completely amazing turnout, and we had a great response from all the vendors,” McClain said. “They all said ‘Let us know when we’re going to do it again.’”

The first Holiday Market had about 30 vendors and drew around 1,200 people to the Royal Square District, McClain said. With 45 vendors this time, the group is hoping to break the 3,000-visitors mark.

Tickets are $3 at the door, and children under 18 will be let in for free. Proceeds will benefit the Parliament Arts Organization, allowing the group to continue hosting community events throughout the year, McClain said.
