What's happening in York this weekend
The 28th annual Bridge Bust runs 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Wrightsville-Columbia Bridge over the Susquehanna River. More than 300 vendors are expected to sell antiques, art, crafts and food along the bridge, which will be closed to traffic. Author Scott Mingus will sign his books, "Flames Beyond Gettyburg and "The Second Day at Gettysburg." Admission: $2 adults, $1 children 6-12, under 6 free, no pets.
The final York Flea event of the year is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday on West Clarke Avenue in York City. The flea market includes crafts, art, hats, T-shirts, fudge and more, along with live music starting at 11 a.m. Free. Information: www.yorkflea.com.
What's better than a superhero? A superhero on skates! The Hanover Black Rose Rollers roller derby team hosts a Super Hero Skate, 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday at Magic Elm Skateland, 625 W. The Red Lion Area Senior High School Marching Lions will host the 33rd annual Sound Spectacular, 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday at Horn Field, Ten area marching bands will perform their field shows, concluding with Red Lion's performance. York's Farm to City Street Dinner returns, 2 p.m. Sunday on the first block of North Beaver Street. More than 30 local farms and vendors have donated food for the menu for a locally sourced dinner served family style, with local beers, ciders and wines an a silent auction and musical entertainment.
