What's happening in York this weekend
The 38th annual Long's Park Art Festival runs Friday through Sunday at Long's Park in Lancaster County. More than 200 juried artists offer artworks, crafts, furniture, wearable fibers and more for the show. Times: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at Long's Park, near the intersection of Route 30 and Harrisburg Pike. Admission: $10 daily, $15 multiday. Take a train ride back to the 1800s with Steam Into History's Re-enactment Rides, the first weekend of each month through November. This weekend, the 87th PA will set up camp and might raid the train at Hanover Junction. Rides: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Train departs and returns to station at 2 W. Main St., New Freedom. Tickets: $28 adults, $15 children 3-12, toddler free. Information: www.steamintohistory.com.
What the Food Trucks takes over Penn Park in York City, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. The free event will surround the park with 40 food trucks, with a beer and wine garden in the center. Local musical acts will provide entertainment through the day. Information: www.facebook.com/whatthefoodtrucks/
Labor Day festivities on Monday at York City's Kiwanis Lake include a youth fishing derby, 8 a.m.-noon; flea market, 8 a.m.; and fireworks at dusk. Free.
