Celebrate spring in central Pennsylvania with the Apple Blossom Festival, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8, at South Mountain Fairgrounds in Biglerville, Adams County. The event includes guided tours of family farms, tastings of wine, chocolate, cheese and hard cider, craft vendors and car shows as well as live entertainment each day. The 41st annual Olde York Street Fair continues the tradition, 12:30-6 p.m. Sunday, May 8, in and around Continental Square in York City. One hundred arts and crafts vendors will line the streets, joined by those selling a variety of fair foods as well as original food creations. All food vendors donate part of their sales to nonprofits. The Kids Fun Block features bounce houses, games, face painting and others, and tickets will benefit York City Special Events. New this year is Dance Street in the first block of North George Street, with several dance companies performing and a Dance Street Showcase Demo and Competition at 4:30 p.m. Free. Try a little bit of everything at Taste of Pennsylvania, noon-6 p.m. May 14 and 15 at the York Expo Center. More than 250 Pennsylvania wines will be available for tasting, along with craft beers from 17 breweries and a variety of local foods. York's Unforgettable Big Band will present an encore performance of its Sinatra Centennial tribute, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Eastern York High School. The upcoming film "Union Bound" has sparked a tour that on May 17 will come to the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover.
