York Weekend Extras 12-19: Christmas Magic, 'Best Christmas Pageant Ever,' Norad Santa

Christmas Magic: A Festival of Lights continues through Dec. 31 at Rocky Ridge County Park. The half-mile walking trail features more than 600,000 holiday lights along with displays on heated pavilions, a model train display and musical performances throughout the season. Hours: 6-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 5-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, closed Dec. 24 and 25. Admission: Adults $8, children 4-12 $6, under 4 free, seniors over 59 $7. DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre will present a classic Christmas comedy, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," through Sunday. Six delinquent siblings are lured to church with the promise of doughnuts and take over the annual Christmas pageant, bringing on a variety of mishaps that turns the predictable yearly event on its head. Follow Santa's journey around the world with the North American Aerospace Defense Command at www.noradsanta.org. NORAD is celebrating the 60th anniversary of tracking Santa’s yuletide journey, with a holiday countdown, games and activities leading up to the big night, At 2:01 a.m. Dec. 24, website visitors can watch the big guy make final preparations and take off.
