York Weekend Extras for 10/30: Ghost walk, YSO Young Person's Concert, Choral Evensong, Halloween Comicfest

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will host a free Halloween ghost walk, 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday in P. Joseph Raab County Park. Jeri Jones, program coordinator, will lead the walk into the darkness of a 19th-century iron mine. Participants will visit with the spirits of workers killed during the operation of the mine, which was active from 1854-1900. Bring a flashlight. The hike is about two miles round-trip and includes several hills. Registration: 717-428-1961.

Get into the Halloween spirit with Halloween ComicFest, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday at Comix Connection, 2150 White St. The event features free comics, a costume contest, games and activities. The choir of St. John Episcopal Church, 140 N. Beaver St., York, presents an Evensong at 4 p.m. Sunday for All Saints' Sunday, followed by a recital by the York Symphony Chamber Singers. The Piscataway Nation Singers and Dancers take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pullo Center on the campus of Penn State York, 1031 Edgecomb Ave., York.
