Ruins Hall in Glen Rock presents the first ever Great Folkgrass Happenstance, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. The event will showcase local bluegrass and folk musicians as well as the Quimby Mountain Band, Caleb Stine, The Jacob Panic Trio and others. The event happens in Ruins Hall, the former Enterprise Manufacturing building on Water Street in Glen Rock, with beer and food provided by the Glen Rock Mill Inn. Leg Up Farm will host its third annual Fall Fest, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the farm, 4880 N. Sherman St. Extd. in East Manchester Township. The event features a trick-or-treat trail, free pumpkin decorating, time on the center's barrier-free playground and koi pond, demonstrations from the horses and therapeutic riding instructors, samples from the Leg Up Farmers Market, costumed characters and food trucks. Take a stroll through the jack-o-lanterns with the first Heritage Rail Trail Pumpkin Walk, 7-9 p.m. Saturday. The half-mile walk begins and ends at the Seven Valleys Parking Lot and features a lot of pumpkins. Participants can also carve a pumpkin and add it to the walk. Refreshments will be available. York Symphony Orchestra music director Lawrence Golan will open the season as a guest violin soloist during "In Nature's Realm," 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Strand Theatre, 50 N. George St. Golan will perform Vivaldi's "Autumn" from "The Four Seasons," and the concert will also present Mahler's "The Song of the Earth." Tickets: $9, $5 for students.
