George F. Jahn, Jr.

George F. Jahn, Jr., 84, entered into rest on Monday January 23, 2023 at Misericordia Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Rose Marie P. Jahn. The significate other to Eileen Thome of York. He was born July 4, 1938 in Baltimore, MD. The son of the late George F. and Margaret (Mellinger) Jahn. George was a veteran serving in the US Navy. He worked as a Director of Distribution for Hamilton Beach Proctor Silex. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in York, the Traditional Choir at Church, Knights of Columbus having achieved the 4th Degree, American Legion Post 0403. Viewings will be 6-8 pm Friday January 27, 2023 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave. York. A second viewing will be 9-10 am Saturday January 28, 2023 at St. Joseph Church 2935 Kingston Rd. York. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am. Burial will be at 1 pm Saturday at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens Baltimore, MD with military honors. George is survived by his three sons: Daniel G. Jahn (Patricia) of Joppatowne, MD, Michael D. Jahn (Cristina) of York, Christopher H. Jahn (Dawn) of Glen Burnie, MD, seven grandchildren: Kenny, Samantha, Christopher M., Eden, Joshua, Jason, Philip, two great grandchildren, two brothers: David L. Jahn (Barbara) of Aberdeen, MD, Howard P. Jahn (Margaret) Westminster, MD.
