Betty J. Harner

Betty Jane (Houdeshel) Horan-Harner, 92, entered into rest on Thursday January 19, 2023. She was the wife of the late Walter Harner. She was born December 10, 1930 in Baltimore, MD. The daughter of the late George W. and Anna V. (Jackson) Houdeshel. A private graveside service is planned in the future at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Freeland, MD. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who will be missed terribly. She enjoyed gardening, quilt making and spending time with family. She leaves behind her six children: Lois A. List (Roger) of New Bern, NC, G. Michael Horan of York, William P. Horan (Marina) of Dry Run, PA, David E. Horan of York, Susan M. Horan-Beazley of York and Angela V. Klinedinst (John) of Stewartstown, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a sister Gwendolyn Burkhardt of Phoenix, MD and a brother David F. Houdeshel of Taylorsville, KY and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings: H. Jackson Taughinbaugh, Louise E. McGil, Joanna Bowen, Annette Crawford and George A. Houdeshel. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave. York is assisting with arrangements.
