Wayne Joseph Deitrick passed away on February 4, 2022; on this day of August 9th he would have turned 33 years young. He leaves behind a loving family, an eclectic group of degenerate friends who all considered him a brother, a soon-to-be best man, and a girlfriend that was probably too hot for him (although his facial symmetry was pretty perfect). Wayne was an avid sports fan who listened to The Ringer as a substitute for worldly news and would enjoy Penguins, Orioles, and Sixers games. However, when the Steelers were playing, Wayne became a different type of sports fan while slugging Coors Originals and shots of Jameson. Wayne’s heart was as big as his sock collection; some would consider him to be a fashion icon of sorts. Although “randoms” would always find a way to bring up his likeness to any black celebrity ever (Eric Andre especially infuriated him), he was not like any one of them. If you had met Wayne, you would realize how unique he was, and would not forget him thereafter. He was unsectarian in his thoughts, kind, and brilliant. A dose of happiness when you’re sad, a dose of humility if you were being cocky, and yet still “emo” enough that you were constantly making sure he was okay. He radiated a certain joy in life that few can imagine and even less will achieve in their own lives. He was a king of brazen, bold style. A style that allowed him to reach any person in any situation regardless of how reluctant they were to talk to him at first. He was a great human who will be missed by all. Happy birthday, Wayne. We love you.
