Delores M. Gladfelter

York New Salem - Delores M. (Kopp) Gladfelter, 92, formerly of Seven Valleys, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at Celebration Villa of York. She was the wife of the late Raymond P. Gladfelter Jr. who died in 1989.

Mrs. Gladfelter was born in Seven Valleys, July 6, 1929, daughter of the late J. Elwood. and Ada M. (Meckley) Kopp.

Delores was a presser for the former SV Garment Co., from which she retired after 35 years. She was a member of Church of the Open Door, York. She enjoyed Card Club and taught Sunday School for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally A. Altland and her husband, Richard of York New Salem and Carol E. Mummert and her husband, Marvin of Seven Valleys; four grandchildren, Amy Miller, April Gruver, Jessica Peifer and Nathan Altland; nine great-grandchildren, Ashton and Mackenzie Miller, Reed and Brynn Gruver, Kelsie and Chase Peifer, and Quinn, Mason and Seth Altland; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Bailey and Loretta Landis.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service 11 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022 at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Ct., York, PA 17408. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Don Wagner. Final resting place will be in St. Jacobs Union Cemetery, York New Salem.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Delores' name to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of York County Inc., P.O. Box 3037, 58 Mt. Zion Rd., York, PA 17402.
