Phyllis Flinchbaugh Foley

Ellwood City - Phyllis Flinchbaugh Foley, 84, of Ellwood City, PA passed away on October 10, 2021.

Born in Spry, PA, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Mamie Geesey Flinchbaugh Nyoh and George Nyoh. She attended Hartley Elementary, Edgar Fahs Smith JHS and graduated in 1955 from William Penn HS in York. Phyllis stayed in contact with several of her high school girlfriends throughout her lifetime. In 1967, Phyllis moved back to Ellwood City. She and her late husband, Bob were three weeks shy of their 65th anniversary when he preceded her in death in May of 2020. She was a kind, friendly person who was dedicated to her family. In 2008, Phyllis was diagnosed with Stage 4B lung cancer and given six months to live. Medicine and determination gave her more than a decade.

Phyllis is survived by her only child, a son Keith (Rosina) Foley of New Castle, PA, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nephews and nieces in the York area.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Kile Brillhart.

Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
