Vincent Quinn McLoughlin

Seven Valleys, PA - Vincent Quinn McLoughlin, 78 of Seven Valleys, PA, died at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home on September 12, 2021. He was the husband of Denise L. (McPhail) McLoughlin with whom he observed their 54th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2021.

Born December 30, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Marie (Quinn) and Vincent McLoughlin.

Vince was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and later served in the Merchant Marines and the Coast Guard Reserves. Vince moved from Brooklyn to Seven Valleys in 1977.

He was a tugboat operator all of his working career and served in transportation of stranded commuters from the seawall and docks following the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. He was an avid history buff and was considered an Irish History aficionado by those who knew him. Vince was a big fan of The Clancy Brothers music.

In addition to his wife, Vince is survived by two sons, Miles P. McLoughlin of Seven Valleys, PA and Vincent R. McLoughlin of Denver, PA; a granddaughter, Lilly McLoughlin of Denver, PA, a sister, Jean Jamate of Staten Island, NY and two brothers, Jim McLoughlin of Long Island, NY and Jack McLoughlin of Brooklyn, NY. Vince was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laura N. McLoughlin and a brother, SP/4c Miles J. Mcloughlin, (KIA).

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA. Burial with military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will be held in Mount Rose Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
