A federal grand jury in Harrisburg on Wednesday indicted a fourth York City man on drugs charges, alleging that he was part of a ring that distributed crack, heroin and cocaine in York County.
Rolando Cruz, Jr., 29, joins fellow co-defendants Marc Hernandez, 28; Douglas Kelly, 35; and Roscoe Villega, 39, in facing allegations that they operated the distribution ring between August 2013 and March, according to the news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Hernandez, Kelly and Villega were indicted in March.
The indictment alleges the men used firearms in their drug trafficking activities and distributed them to co-conspirators. Their activities were highly organized and violent, the release says.
The case is part of a continuing joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The case has been assigned to Asst. U.S. Attorney Michael A. Consiglio for prosecution.
In this particular case, the maximum penalty under the federal statute is 20 years imprisonment with a term of supervised release after imprisonment and a fine, according to the release.
