The York College baseball team committed four errors and only scored twice, resulting in a 16-2 loss against the University of Mary Washington Eagles on Sunday afternoon at Jaquet Field.

The Spartans fell to 13-13 overall and 5-7 in the Capital Athletic Conference. The Eagles improved to 18-13 and 8-4.

Colin Porter and Dustin Worthman each finished 1-for-3 for York and scored one run. Andrew Hershey and Drew Frankenfield each had one RBI for York, which was outhit, 23-7.

OTHER YORK COLLEGE EVENTS

TENNIS TEAMS LOSE TO ST. MARY'S: The York College men's and women's tennis teams fell to St. Mary's College on Sunday afternoon.

The York women fell, 8-1, while the Spartan men lost, 5-4.

The Spartan women fell to 4-10 overall and 2-2 in the Capital Athletic Conference. The Seahawks improved to 12-7 overall and 3-0 in the CAC. Emily Price won at No. 4 singles for York's lone point.

The York men fell to 10-9 overall and 2-3 in the CAC. St. Mary's improved to 10-5 and 2-1. Eric Cooperman, Jake Greenstein and Daniel Erk won singles matches for York. The Spartans' other point came from the No. 3 doubles team of Erk and Mario Herrera.
