The York College softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games at Messiah College on Monday afternoon in Grantham.

The Spartans lost the first game, 9-2, and dropped the second, 8-0 in five innings. Messiah improved to 18-6, while the Spartans fell to 7-13.

York scored its only runs in the fourth inning of the opener when Brittany Therres singled and scored on a Jena Ruby double to left. After being moved to third on a sacrifice bunt, Ruby scored on an RBI ground out from Sarah Harris.
