Tim Ardinger remembers going to Long's Park in Lancaster County as a child.
"A lot of us, I think, were here as kids at this park," Ardinger said.
Now, Ardinger serves as co-chair for the annual Long's Park Art & Craft Festival — a festival he said he has served for the past 30 years.
Ardinger said the "great group of people," both artists and attendees, keep him coming back each year.
The outdoor festival transforms the park each year into an art gallery, with 200 artisans from 34 states and as far as Canada showcasing their creations — from ceramics, glass, jewelry, leather and metal to photography, digital art and wearable fiber.
"It's just a great way to spend a day," Ardinger said. "The atmosphere of the park, the shade — what a relaxing way to spend Labor Day."
Cindi Hendricks, Ardinger's co-chair the past two years, said the quality of the art is a big draw for crowds as well.
"There's really some exceptional art to see here," Hendricks said.
The festival also features live music, as well as an upscale food court catered by local restaurants and vendors.
Event hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
"Come see your friends," Ardinger said. "The whole community is here."
