There are two York-Adams League basketball teams left in the PIAA state playoffs. The York Catholic girls' team will take on Pine Grove at 7 p.m. Friday at East Pennsboro in a Class AA quarterfinal. At 6 p.m. Friday, the Dover girls will battle Spring-Ford at Garden Spot in a Class AAAA quarterfinal.
The PIAA State Swimming Championships will finish up this weekend at Bucknell University's Kinney Natatorium. The event started Wednesday with the first day of Class AA competition. The AA event will finish up on Thursday, followed by AAA action on Friday and Saturday. A number of York-Adams League athletes qualified for the championships.
