The students in Cam McMillion's Hocus-Pocus class at York Little Theatre are practicing a variety of magic tricks.
McMillion, who has performed magic for 16 years, wants to inspire kids in an art he says "has been swept under the rug."
He remembers walking into his first magic shop, Denny & Lee Magic Studio in Baltimore. The store sold him his first egg bag routine, a bag that makes an egg seem to disappear and reappear, which he still uses today.
"I really want to get kids interested in going to a magic shop and learning from real magicians," he says. "Not a lot of people realize that there are still magic shops around where magicians are struggling to sell this magic and make money in this economy.
