Axel Hartman, who will be a senior at West York High School in the fall, won the Briarwood West club championship on Sunday.

It was the first non-junior club crown for the 17-year-old. He carded a two-day total of 145 to beat Sam Berryman by two shots. Ben Purtell and Greg Heller tied for third, six shots back.

The First Flight winners were Eric Stough, Scott Sebring and Bob Meckley, who each shot 156. Jeff Shank won the Second Flight with a 166. Clair Stough Jr. was second, five shots back.
