York College's late-season baseball slide continued on Tuesday with an 11-8 non-league loss to Kean at Jacquet Field.

The Spartans have now lost five of their last six to fall to 26-13 on the season. Kean improved to 30-12.

York could not hold on to a 6-2 lead after three innings.

Andrew Hershey had four hits and two runs scored for York, while Cole Herr had two hits, three RBIs and a run scored. Brad Wenzel (two hits, two runs, RBI), Derek Pitzer (two RBIs), Stephen Miele (two hits, RBI, run) and Michael Moore (two hits) also excelled at the plate for York.

The Spartans' pitchers, however, allowed 15 hits and they didn't get much help from their defense, which committed four errors behind them, leading to seven unearned runs.
