Visiting Felton exploded for 12 runs in the fourth inning to break the game wide open in a 15-2 Susquehanna League win over York Township on Thursday night.
The Ducks sent 17 batters to the plate during their big inning. Seth Gladfelter and Mark Shoff each had two hits for the winners, who pounded out 14 hits. Shoff drove in two runs.
Joel Buchko collected two hits for York Township. Sam Schwartz pitched the first four innings for Felton to earn the victory, and Tyler Taylor worked the fifth, sixth and seventh innings in relief.
The two combined to check York Township on six hits. Taylor struck out four batters and walked only one.
Township manager Jeff Barkdoll came in to pitch in the fourth inning in order to give his pitching staff some rest heading into a busy stretch over the next several days.
The appearance was Barkdoll's first on the mound in 31 years.

JACOBUS 6, HALLAM 6 (SUSPENDED): At Hallam, the Jackals and Express completed seven innings without determining a winner before the umpires suspended the game due to darkness. The contest will be resumed in the top of the eighth inning at a date and time to be announced.
STEWARTSTOWN 3, WINDSOR 2: At Stewartstown, the home team led 3-1 after five innings of play and held on for the victory. Jere Preston led the offense for the hosts going 3-3. Teammates Jason Mitchell went 2-3, including two doubles, while Jesse Brittain pitched two innings of mid-relief to pick up the win, striking out four and walking one. For Windsor, Josh Scott went 2-4. With the victory, Stewartstown improves to 6-14, while Windsor falls to 7-12.
