Dover native Brooks Black won the 285-pound Prep National Championship on Saturday at Lehigh University.
Black, the No. 2-ranked heavyweight in the country by intermatwrestle.com, went 4-0 in the tournament. He won the championship bout, 4-1, over Wyoming Seminary's Michael Johnson, the No. 8-ranked heavyweight by intermatwrestle.com.
It adds to an already impressive list of accomplishments this season for Black, a senior who wrestles for Blair (N.J.) Academy. The heavyweight already won titles this season at the Ironman, Beast of the East and Powerade tournaments.
Black's prep career isn't finished yet, though. He is still slated to wrestle for the USA All-Star Team in the 39th annual Dapper Dan Classic in Pittsburgh in March.
Black, an Illinois University recruit, is 33-0 on the season.
