Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry will play host to the King of Jib freestyle ski and snowboard event this Saturday.
Participants will compete for a $1,000 first prize and $500 second prize.
A special rail set is being installed in the terrain park just for this event. Qualifying begins at 10:30 a.m. and the finals will be held at 6 p.m. The entry fee is $25 per person and is limited to 100 competitors. Participants from as far away as the Poconos and Ohio have already pre-registered.
The complete schedule is as follows:
8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.:Check in for all skiers and riders, even if pre-registered.
10 a.m. until 10:20 a.m.: Snowboard practice.
10:25 a.m.: Snowboard meeting at the top of the venue.
10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.: Snowboard qualifier.
11:30 a.m.: Skier meeting at the bottom of the hill.
11:35 a.m. until 12:20 p.m.: Skiing practice.
12:25 p.m. until 1:10 p.m.: Skiing qualifier.
1:15 p.m. until 5 p.m.: Free ride and lunch.
5:45 p.m.: Finalist Meeting at the bottom of the J-Bar Park.
6 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.: Finals for skiers and snowboarders.
7:45 p.m.: Awards at the bottom of the J-Bar Park.
