The York College women's basketball team walked away with a 61-48 victory over Washington & Lee on Thursday evening at Charles Wolf Gymnasium.

Juniors Brittany Hicks (17 points, 11 rebounds) and Kristen Haley (22 points, 10 rebounds) each earned double-doubles in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Haley has six double-doubles this season, while Hicks has 11. Haley is only nine points away from becoming the 13th York woman to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

York's starting point guard, Aja Wallpher, missed the game with an injury. Julianne Lambert took her starting spot and finished with nine points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Spartans improved to 15-4. Washington & Lee fell to 6-10.
