UNCASVILLE, Conn. -- A late three-pointer by fifth-year senior guard Jacob Iati was not enough, as Albany fell to Loyola (Md.), 67-64, on Sunday at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Senior center Blake Metcalf led the Great Danes with 12 points and eight rebounds. Iati, sophomore guard Peter Hooley, and junior guard D.J Evans all scored in double figures with 11, 11, and 10, respectively.

Loyola's (4-1) forward Erik Etherly had a game-high 23 points and seven rebounds. Guards Dylon Cormier and Anthony Winbush were in double-digit figures with 16 and 12 points.

Iati, a York Catholic High School graduate is off to strong start with Albany this season. He also had three rebounds and two assists on Sunday. For the season, Iati is averaging 15.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
