LONDON—Tsvetan Sokolov had 22 points and Bulgaria advanced to the semifinals in men's volleyball at the London Olympics with a straight-set victory over Germany on Wednesday.

The Lions, as they are known, won 25-20, 25-16, 25-14 and will face Russia, which swept Poland in an earlier quarterfinal at Earls Court.

The Germans offered little resistance in the match. Bulgaria won the first set on Sokolov's kill and the second on his block. Nikolay Nikolov spiked for match point, and a few Bulgarian players dogpiled on the court in celebration.
