Connie Shorb cruised to victory on Wednesday at the Women's York County Amateur Golf Association Senior/Super Senior Championship at Bon Air Country Club.
Shorb fired a 2-over-par 75 at the Glen Rock-area course to win the Senior Division by 15 shots over second-place Pippi Gemmill. The course played to a length of 5,599 yards.
Shorb is a 30-time winner of the WYCAGA Championship and recently fell in the WYCAGA match-play final to Amy Kennedy.
Susie Guinn took third at 95, winning the tiebreaker in a match of cards over Karen Miller, who also fired 95.
Ruth Stover took the Senior net title with a 74, two shots better than Deb Rohrbaugh. Joann Dietz was third at 78, one shot better than Pat Kochick.
Carolyn
Karge won the Super Senior crown with a 92, five shots clear of Betty Winner. Donna Ensor took third at 98, while Sue Joiner was fourth at 102.In the Super Senior net division, Pat Lowder finished first at 71. Timmy Hutchinson and Connie Wood each fired 77s, but Hutchinson won the tiebreaker to claim second. Anne McDaniel was fourth at 79.
