Irish Summer Basketball Camps
The Irish Basketball Camp operated by Mike Keesey will be held the following weeks: Monday, June 18, through Friday, June 22, for boys' in grades one through six from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day; Monday, June 25, through Friday, June 29, for boys in grades one through six from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day; and Monday, July 9, through Friday, July 13, for girls in grades one through nine from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The Irish Girls' Basketball Camp operated by Kevin Bankos will be held the following weeks: A point guard camp, Tuesday, June 19, through Wednesday, June 20, for girls in grades six through 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day; a fundamental skills camp, Monday, July 9, through Thursday, July 12, for girls in grades three through five from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day; and a fundamental skills camp, Monday, July 16, through Thursday, July 19, for girls in grades six through nine from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day Camps will be held at the York Catholic gym and cost $100 if paid by Friday, June 1, and $110 after June 1. Briarwood Golf Courses
Briarwood Golf Course will hold beginner and refresher golf clinics, starting Monday, May 7, and Tuesday, May 8. Sessions will meet two times per week (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday) for two weeks from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. There will be six hours of instruction by PGA pros. Equipment will be provided if needed. The cost is $80 and includes a nine-hole round of golf with cart. Junior clinics at Briarwood will begin Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., for six weeks for ages 5 and up. Equipment will be provided, if needed. The cost is $55. Red Lion Basketball Tournament
Athletes for Better Education (AFBE) will hold a regional basketball tournament at Red Lion High School from June 1 through June 3. There will be seven different age divisions for both boys and girls from 10 and under through 18 and under. Each team will get four games. The deadline to enter is May 18. Susquehannock Basketball Camp
Susquehannock will conduct a summer basketball camp from Monday, June 11, through Thursday, June 14, for boys in the Southern York County School District entering second through ninth grades in the 2012-13 school year.
