The Dallastown softball team scored in double figures for a third-straight game and won its fifth-straight contest on Thursday afternoon, beating visiting Eastern York, 10-0, in a non-league meeting.

The Wildcats (5-1 overall) have now scored 45 runs in their last three games, an average of 15 runs per game.

Dallastown pitcher Kayla Merriman tossed a one-hitter and helped her own cause by slugging a solo home run against the Golden Knights. Merriman struck out eight and walked just one. The only hit she allowed was a fifth-inning single.

Amanda Jones went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs for the winners. Merriman, Jenna Eckenrode and Haylee Anders added two hits apiece. Merriman, Jones and Sam Hartman cracked homers.

The umpires called the game in the bottom of the fifth inning because of the 10-run rule.

Eastern dropped to 2-5.
