Chad Layton won Friday's "Tommy Classic" at Williams Grove Speedway.
Layton's first win of the season was worth $6,000. It was his eighth career Williams Grove sprint-car win.
With an eight drawn for the feature invert, Layton, who was eighth in time trials, started from the pole position and led all 30 laps of the championship event. Thomasville's Greg Hodnett came from the sixth starting spot to finish second. Daryn Pittman, Doug Esh and Aaron Ott completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Brian Montieth, who started 19th, Danny Dietrich, Hanover's Logan Schuchart, Alan Krimes and Sam Hafertepe Jr.
Tyler Bear led all 20 laps to win the 305 sprint feature event. Mike Wagner II finished second, followed by Mark Watkins, Matt Mountz and Randy Kaylor.
OTHER DIRT TRACK RACING
YORKER SHINES AT TRAILWAY: York's Jeff Rohrbaugh led all 25 laps to win Friday's 358 sprint feature at Trailway Speedway.
Manchester's Austin Hogue chased Rohrbaugh the whole way to finish second. Hanover's Joe Trone Jr. finished third, with Lewisberry's Kyle Moody and Hanover's Tim Wagaman in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Wes Irwin, Keith Prutzman, Spring Grove's Zach Eucalano, Mike Bittinger and Ryan Wilson.
Grant Adams won the limited-late-model feature over York Haven's Steve Billet. Strinestown's Tommy Slanker, Dover's Larry Baer and Hanover's Bobby Beard completed the top five.
Dan Furman won the Xtreme stock car event and Rod Weaver was the limited-stock winner.
SATURDAY SLATE RAINED OUT: The entire local racing slate was washed out on Saturday evening.
Racing was rained out at Lincoln, Port Royal, Williams Grove, Susquehanna, Trailway, Selinsgrove and Hagerstown.
