Hanover's Logan Schuchart and Rick Lafferty each scored sprint-car wins during Selinsgrove's Twin 20s program Sunday evening.

In the first race, Schuchart led all 20 laps from his pole position to score the $2,500 victory. The victory was his first in sprint-car competition at Selinsgrove and his fourth overall this season.

Chad Layton, who shared the front row with Schuchart, finished second, with Brock Zearfoss getting third. Steve Buckwalter and Blane Heimbach completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Fairview Township's Pat Cannon, Hanover's Jacob Allen, Lewisberry's Kyle Moody, Lafferty and New York state invader Justin Barger.

Schuchart drew a 10 inversion for the second feature, which put Barger and Lafferty on the front row. After a first-lap incident that sent Layton to the pits and Cannon to the rear of the field, Barger took the lead and appeared to be headed for his first local victory.

However, a spinning lapped car on the final lap set up a one-lap shootout, and Lafferty was able to pass Barger for the lead and the $2,500 victory. Like Schuchart, Lafferty's win was his first at Selinsgrove, but his fourth overall this season.

Barger had to settle for second, with Heimbach in third. Schuchart and Allen completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Zearfoss, Buckwalter, Mike Erdley, Moody and a rebounding Cannon.
