Lance Dewease won the battle in the closing race of the 22nd annual Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek Sunday evening at Selinsgrove Speedweek.

But, for the 13th time in his career, it was Fred Rahmer who won the war and claimed the overall Speedweek point title.

Dewease started fourth and took the lead from Mike Erdley on the eighth lap and went on to lead the remainder of the distance for the $5,000 victory. Blane Heimbach, who started 16th, made a late charge to finish second, with Thomasville's Greg Hodnett in third. Rahmer and Rick Lafferty completed the top five.

Rounding out the top 10 were Alan Krimes, T.J. Stutts, Aaron Ott, Stevie Smith and Brent Marks.

Unofficially, Krimes finished second in the Speedweek point chase, followed by Hodnett, Dewease and Daryn Pittman.

In the 20-lap super-sportsman feature, Jim Shuster led all the way for his first career win. Lewisberry's Scott Dellinger finished second, with Carmen Perigo Jr., Mike Enders and Steve Fannasy completing the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Dave Berkheimer, Dillsburg's Rich Eichelberger, Jay Fannasy, Wellsville's Scott Geesey and Tom Wyckoff.

Selinsgrove was also scheduled to race Saturday, but that show got rained out.

OTHER DIRT TRACK RACING

WALKER WINS AT PORT ROYAL: Tyler Walker raced to his first win of the season in Saturday's Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek feature at Port Royal Speedway.

Walker collected $5,000 for the victory. Walker started sixth in the feature and took the lead from race-long leader Stevie Smith on a restart on the 27th of 30 laps. Walker held on the rest of the way to best Smith for the victory, even though third-place runner Mark Smith blew a tire, starting a seven-car pileup with two laps remaining. Smith's misfortune collected six other top-10 cars, including Rahmer, who flipped violently. No one was injured.

In the end, Walker was the winner over Stevie Smith, with Hodnett in third. Pittman and Heimbach completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Chad Layton, Danny Holtgraver, Krimes, Dewease and Lafferty.

Jim Yoder led all the way to win the 20-lap, late-model feature. Tim Wilson finished second, followed in the top five by Mike Lupfer, Dylan Yoder and Brett Schadel.

SMITH VICTORIOUS AT GROVE: Stevie Smith was the $10,000 winner of Friday's Mitch Smith Memorial during Speedweek at Williams Grove.

Smith took the lead from Shane Stewart on the 20th of 30 laps and drove to the win.

Stewart was second, followed in the top 10 by Hodnett, Danny Lasoski, Donnie Kreitz Jr., Erdley, Rahmer, Doug Esh, Dewease and Krimes.

EASH TRIUMPHS AT LINCOLN: Hanover's Cris Eash won Saturday's 358 sprint feature at Lincoln Speedway.

Eash's first win of the season came over Dale Hammaker, who edged Manchester's Austin Hogue in a near-photo finish. Todd Rittenhouse Jr. and early leader Keith Prutzman completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Niki Young, Hanover's Tim Wagaman, Lewisberry's Kyle Moody, Ryan Wilson and Matt Findley.

Hanover's Bobby Beard won the limited-late-model feature and claimed the Shoot Out Series title. The Shoot Out included races at Lincoln, Trailway and Williams Grove. Beard had two wins and a fifth in the series. Jake Jones finished second, followed by Randy Stoudt, Pat Beard and Dover's Gene Knaub.

Logan Wagner was the 305 sprint winner in a regional event that drew 40 cars. Billy Ney finished second, followed by Kody Lehman, Dusty Shatzer and David Martin.

ARMSTRONG LEADS WAY AT TRAILWAY: At Trailway Speedway Friday, Tyler Armstrong was the limited-late-model winner in the second leg of the Shoot Out. Knaub finished second, followed by Travis Mease, Grant Adams and Bobby Beard.

Tim Hahn was the Xtreme stock winner and Kyle Rohrbaugh was the limited-stock winner.

On Saturday, Ryan Greth won the 600cc micro-sprint Speedweek feature. Shane Lewis finished second, followed by Tyler Walton, Jimmy Brookens and Tanner Hunsicker.

Michael Boer won the 270cc micro-sprint feature over Gary Keister, Jim Still, Steve Cox and Rusty Crone.

Keith Ford was the sidewinder winner.

GRASSO TAKES URC VICTORY: J.J. Grasso won Saturday's URC sprint feature at New Egypt, N.J.

Robbie Stillwaggon finished second, followed by Davey Sammons, Davie Franek and Josh Weller.
