Xavier Smith poured in 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the field to lead the Penn State York men's basketball team to a 77-50 victory over visiting Penn Scranton on Wednesday night.

In the first game of the doubleheader, the PSY women weren't as fortunate, dropping an 85-77 overtime decision to Penn State Scranton.

In the men's game, Josh Jamison knocked in 17 points for the winners on 7-for-9 shooting from the floor, while Tyler Martin scored 14, including a perfect 6-for-6 night from the floor. As a team, PSY shot 33-for-53 from the floor, good for a sizzling 62.3 percent. The visitors shot just 21-for-50 for 42 percent.

outscored 11-3 in the OT. Courtney Riggs led the home team with 30 points. Brittany Kint scored 18 for PSY, including four 3-pointers, while Lauren Riggleman scored 15 and Alison Lane scored 11.
