Former Penn State quarterback Paul Jones will play football at Division 1-AA Robert Morris next season.
Jones made the announcement Monday on his Twitter account.
"I'll be going to school at Robert Morris and will be playing football there," Jones tweeted.
Jones, a highly-touted recruit from District 7 Sto-Rox High School, left the Penn State football team in September for personal reasons. He appeared in two games as a tight end earlier this season.
The third-year sophomore missed the past two seasons for academic reasons.
He was involved in a three-way competition for the staring quarterback job last spring. Matt McGloin won the job and has started all 10 games this season.
Jones has two years of eligibility remaining.
